SeIzE HOPE

Kaitlin has just informed me that she would like to focus on training Echo in dog agility. Kaitlin has already introduced him to agility equipment and he seemed to take to it with ease which leaves me wondering if this mischevious canine could actually train and compete in agility competitions with Kaitlin as his handler?
Kaitlin's dream doesn't stop there. Nope. She's a chip off the old block. Her dreams are much bigger. Not only does she want to compete with Echo in agility but she wants to WIN and wants to donate any money raised to help kids get seizure response dogs via the Chelsea Hutchinson Foundation, of course.
Tomorrow Kaitlin will take the first step by asking a trainer to help her get started.
I've said it before but it seems worthy of saying it again. Kaitlin is my inspiration to be a louder advocate for epilepsy. :) ----Kim

Ramping it up

This week has been especially discouraging for me as I read other's stories and their battle against epilepsy. Each time I read about a child struggling because of seizures and a mother or father who is simply frustrated by the unknown, my heart breaks a little more.

As you may know November is Epilepsy Awareness Month. Kaitlin's Cauze will be ramping things up for the entire month with daily blog entries from Kaitlin, her dad, and me. We will write honest entries about our fears, struggles, concerns, hopes, and dreams. We would also like to share stories about others who live with epilepsy and are asking that you email your story to kaitlinscauze@comcast.net As individuals faced with the daily obstacles, we truly need to come together in support and encouragement as well as bring this beast out of the shadows. We need to be a voice that is heard and not ignored.

Kaitlin's Cauze would also like to do a slide show of heroes around the world and we are asking that if you don't want to share your personal story maybe you'd like to share a photo to be included in the slide show. Please mail those to kaitlinscauze@comcast.net as well.

Today is a new day my friends. Help us bring epilepsy out of the shadows.

Donations made...

Kaitlin's Cauze made a donation to the Chelsea Hutchinson Foundation to help unite 2 girls with their seizure response dogs. Tabbee is working to raise money to get her dog, Kiara, a Goldendoodle & Sarah is working to raise money to get her dog, Belle, a Newfoundland. These dogs will help these girls live a more independent life.

Kaitlin's Cauze would like to thank those who purchased a SeIzUrEs SuCk tshirt to make this donation possible. YOU are HEROES to Tabbee and Sarah!

Heroes Among Us

My mom has learned to speak geek and included a paypal button on my page to make it easier for people to buy tshirts or make donations to Kaitlin's Cauze.

YOU can be a hero by purchasing a tshirt. ALL profits from merchandise sales will go to the Chelsea Hutchinson Foundation, specifically to a child/teenager who is in need of a seizure response dog.

More merchandise will be added to my merchandise page over the next few months so make sure you check back often.

All general donations to Kaitlin's Cauze will go toward research for epilepsy.

Thank you to everyone who has already purchased a tshirt. Please feel free to take pictures and post them on my facebook wall: Kaitlin's Cauze.

Love,
Kaitlin
