Plotting a new path...

Kaitlin and I had an on-going discussion over the last few days about WHO she can help in the epilepsy community.  There are many causes within the community that need the support and donations of any willing person so that they can continue doing the work they do.  Whether it's actively searching for a cure for epilepsy or helping people live with epilepsy, the bottom line is it's ALL important.  So how does a young girl decide who to help with the limited resources she has?  It's actually rather simple, Kaitlin chose to follow her heart...

With this in mind Kaitlin has decided that right now she is most happy supporting the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation and the Danny Did Foundation.  She likes the idea of promoting independence for those living with epilepsy.  Whether it's through donating money to help someone aquire a seizure alert/response dog or an emfit monitor, to Kaitlin it's all the same.  She's helping  some one.  And it makes her feel good.

Kaitlin will continue to work at helping our local epilepsy foundation, and thanks to one really cool DJ, Kaitlin has already implemented steps to help the foundation receive a generous donation next fall.  At some point, as her small organization grows more, she will also do what she can to raise money for CURE.

But right now, she's content to help Chelsea and Danny because these two have touched her heart and inspired her to make a difference in life.

  1. Danny has touched many, many hearts. How fortunate for those who need help that Kaitlin was touched by Danny too. Amazing what a child with a good heart can do - - and when you put two - or three (Kaitlin, Danny and Chelsea) together, the impact will be immeasurable. God bless you Kaitlin!
